Aahni Attall
Aahni Attall is the main character. She is an awl which are elf-like and known for being artisans. However, Aanhi is a warrior. After her family and entire clan was wiped out by the Dragon Rein, she vows to herself that she will unite all of Asunder and also destroy the Dragon Rein.
Olak the Olf
Olak is male olf. He becomes Aahni’s first traveling companion and best friend after she initially misjudges him as a normal olf - which are mean troll-like scavengers by nature. But, Olak is different because when he was a baby he was adopted by a skuree family when they found him abandoned. Skurees, who are farmer by trade, are small and very kind – and that is how Olak grew up.
